This instant feedback technology removes the guess-work from frame work. Quickly see and compare several frame options or decide which mat treatment works best. Our overhead mounted camera system is unique to our store and gives you the ability to see your art with any number of frame combination in just moments. Matting
At FRAME WORKS, we can cut nearly any shape of mat using our digital mat-cutting machine. Your art will stand out when framed and matted with a custom look that is all your own. For more information on the materials that we use, please see our Materials page.
We can cut custom designs for sports teams (logos, shapes, etc.), names (letters are cut out to become the "mat" for your photos), or nearly any shape you can imagine. Curious? Call or stop in and we'll show you what we can do!
In this example, He Who Does Not Cultivate, the mat has been custom cut to reflect the drawing.
This mat features several inlays within the mats.

Sport Art
Frame Works is pleased to work with Sean Thompson and Iowa Hawk Art, www.iowahawkart.com, to frame many of his pieces. This piece, Houghlin FAITH is framed using a black 3" beveled frame from the Larson Juhl Soho collection. We've added a small gold fillet inside the frame to capture the Hawkeye colors. The matting for this piece is cut with the Hawkeye "I" and a 1/4" v-groove. The black top mat is floated or raised off the gold bottom mat to create amazing depth to the piece.
Another original drawing by Sean Thompson and Iowa Hawk Art, www.iowahawkart.com. This piece features Tyler Sash and Brett Greenwood. The piece is signed by Tyler Sash and framed in a 3" beveled black frame from the Larson Juhl Soho collection with the added gold fillet inside the frame opening. The black and gold matting features the Iowa "I" with the top black mat floated or raised to create depth.
Jerseys
Using a simple black moulding from TC Moulding we have framed this signed Abdul-Jabbar jersey with gold, purple and matting to match those team colors.
This signed Ron Santo jersey is framed with simple black moulding from TC Moulding with team matching grey, blue and white matting.
This signed James Brown jersey is once again framed with simple black moulding from TC Moulding with brown and orange matting to match the team colors of the jersey.
Photo Restoration
We will repair faded lines, enhance color hue and saturation (in color images only), remove tears, stains, holes and pen marks, repair exposure defects and perform general image clean-up. Vignettes, studio/photographer credits and captions will be retained, unless otherwise specified. If you do not wish for all of these edits to be done or you require additional edits, please give special instructions.
Create your own Pop Art
Creating your own Pop Art is as easy as it is fun! Simply bring in your photo you want turned into Pop Art and we will help you select from six different Pop Art styles. Have your finished Pop Art printed on either art paper or canvas.
